I am back...

Hey everyone,

I am back from Attilan. After ending up in some trouble, the teachers there and I decided it would be safer for me to come back here. And before anyone asks… some former friend decided he wanted to marry me and some other former friends decided to help him to the point of kidnapping me and attacking me in my room at the school in Attilan…
  
I looked around the journals and saw that we have a some new faces since I was here for the last time. I am Sooraya Qadir. I am originally from Afghanistan until a good man saved me from my owner and brought me to the States in 2006. Since then I have studied here and in Attilan, with about a year’s break to spend time with my mother, who still is in Afghanistan. I look forward to getting to know all of you.  You can recognize me from the headscarf, unless there is another Muslim girl around… ;))

I hope to finish my last two high school courses here and to go to college in September 2012. Not sure yet what I want to study, but I still have time to figure that one out.

Before I forget, Leyu told me to say hi to everyone on her behalf.

Oh, so, a lot older than me. I'm 16 and supposed to be a junior, but I got waylaid a little and am a sophomre and a junior depending on the class. I'm trying to catch up though so that I graduate a year late instead of 2 years late.

I'm guessing marriage and kids i snot wht you want right now?

not yet, but I might come back soon. I'm in grad school in Manhattan with a shoebox there.

Not at the moment no, but in the future I hope very much to get married and have children.

And for comparison... I will be graduating at the end of this school year... so your situation can happen...

That's cool. I mean, when you want to. not when you're told ot and stuff. that's uncool.

Yeah. Well, I didn't get slowed because I was from Afghanistan and couldn't get to school because there were some asshats in charge. I got slowed because I lost my sight and then ran into legal troubles. and drug troubles. and you know, stuff.

actually, I'm studying to be a physician's assistant, which is almost like being a doctor. I'll be able to diagnose, write prescriptions, etc, but it's different from being a doctor too in some ways. A LOT less schooling for one.

I don't think I have ever heard of his before... But I think you can't do some things a doctor can?

I can do basically everything a doctor can, assuming I am trained for it, but I need a doctor to supervise me. They can do that off-site though. I don't need someone to hold my hand or anything.

My specialty is emergency medicine.
